I have a vision problem that makes it difficult for me to read for more than a few minutes at a time. I started using GhostReader a little over five years ago to convert textbooks when I began law school, which requires a massive amount of reading. I soon switched to iVox, and now regularly use a custom workflow I've developed to convert books (often ones I have scanned and OCR'd myself) to audio so I can listen to them on my iPod.
